Odoo Construction Project Management Planning with Gantt Chart View

Introduction:

Gantt Chart is basically designed for Project planning, scheduling and controlling.We have following fundamental components in our Project planning.

  • Project
  • Sub Project
  • WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
  • Group
  • Task

 

Project Master:

Following details can be captured in Project master :

Project Settings: Like Project Manager, Project, Company Privacy

Sub Project Details: Multiple Sub-projects can be defined under a project

Site Specific Information: Project Saleable Area, Built-up Area, Plot Area, Site Contact No, etc.

Project Documents: All project related documents can be uploaded

 


Sub Project View:

We can define a sub project for particular project.

 

Project WBS:

Project WBS is a Work Breakdown Structure. Here we can define different tasks of the project and required resources i.e.material and labor for particular Project. Also, we can define Planned & Actual dates of the projects.

After selection of tasks from the library (Rate Analysis) as per BOQ, it will automatically create required resources under the estimated material and estimated labor section.

 

Task Group:

Multiple sub groups and tasks can be added in WBS

 

Task Library (Masters):

Rate analysis of all the activities can be defined at once with the required resources and later on you can use these tasks in any project and any times.

 

Gantt Chart:

Features Of Gantt:

  • Every element is editable from gantt chart
  • Zooming is possible
  • Manage task status
  • Manage dependencies
  • Full undo-redo support
  • Multi level support (N-number of outline levels)

 

Project Selection Wizard:

In following wizard, select particular project for gantt view and click on ‘View Gantt Chart’ button.

 

Project duration increases after  drag

 

All details of any element can be edited by Task Editor.
